Ashley joined Steppingstone in 2021 as Director of Communications, bringing years of experience in nonprofit and educational settings. Prior to joining Steppingstone, Ashley was most recently Director of Marketing and Communications at Wellan Montessori School, where she also mentored elementary and middle school students and coordinated initiatives toward equity and belonging. Ashley holds a B.A. in English and Graphic Design from Stonehill College. Outside of work, she enjoys nature walks, reading, dancing, and spending time with family in her home state of Rhode Island.

Monét joined Steppingstone in 2024 and is part of the Advancement team as the Corporate Relations Manager. She is a Steppingstone Alumna from Boston and a graduate of Providence College where she received her B.A. in sociology with a minor in women's studies and business studies. She then went on to receive her M.B.A. from Suffolk University in 2021. In her role, she looks forward to building out career readiness programming for Scholars and connecting Steppingstone with partner organizations. Outside of work, she loves traveling to new places, trying new foods, and enjoying time outdoors.

Andrea joined Steppingstone in 2024 as a Data Systems Associate, bringing a background of a B.S. in human development and family studies from Texas Tech University. Prior to this role, she worked with a consultancy firm specializing in optimizing Salesforce instances for non-profits and educational institutions. Driven by her lifelong passion for helping young people reach their full potential, Andrea was drawn to Steppingstone's mission of empowering youth through education and opportunity. She looks forward to the opportunity to enhance Steppingstone's data systems, aligning her professional expertise with her passion for making a difference. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, exploring new destinations through travel, reading a good book, and embracing the great outdoors.

Following graduation, Jess moved to Boston and began working for the Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts as the Fund Development Specialist. Jess is passionate about creating positive change and opportunities for youth. When she’s not working, Jess enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach, and hiking.

Audrey joined Steppingstone in 2022 as the Director of Annual Giving and Events. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, she attended Boston College and graduated with a B.A. in History and a minor in Hispanic Studies. She comes to Steppingstone from The Park School, where she worked in the Development Office for 4.5 years. Before starting work at Park, she volunteered with the Steppingstone Advancement office to assist with the annual Gala. When not working she coaches a Greater Boston Girls on the Run team, and loves to read, cook, and ski!

Tauryn first joined Steppingstone in 2011 as a Scholar and commenced in 2012. She returned to Steppingstone as a High School Success Advisor in 2023. Being both a first-generation college student and Steppingstone Alumna, she considers her work— helping Scholars access opportunity and resources— a full-circle moment. She received a B.A. in sociology and political science, with a minor in Black studies, from Providence College. During her time at Providence College, she also worked in a program for prospective Providence students, assisting with various college-readiness workshops. Outside of work, Tauryn loves cooking, event planning, and traveling.

Sonali joined Steppingstone in August, 2024. A third culture kid, she grew up in India, Singapore, and London, before coming to America to pursue higher education. She obtained a B.A. from New York University in 2020, with a double major in English literature and journalism, and a minor in psychology, and an MFA from Emerson College in 2024, in creative writing. Throughout her studies, she volunteered to teach at college access programs like Let's Get Ready, Thrive Scholars, and 826 Boston, while also working consistently in the field of marketing as a copywriter and intern. As a Communications Associate at Steppingstone, she applies the marketing skills she's honed to a cause she is dedicated to. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, writing, long walks, and baking anything sweet, especially if it's chocolatey.

Kate Wood joined the Advancement team at Steppingstone in 2007 and has held several roles throughout her tenure. In 2017, Kate was promoted to the Chief Advancement Officer. Prior to joining Steppingstone, Kate was Vice President of National Development at Jumpstart, an early childhood education nonprofit, and she began her career in marketing at Fidelity Investments. Kate is a graduate of Union College. She lives outside of Boston with her husband, two children, and their bunny, Biscuit. When she’s not working, Kate can be found driving to and from soccer, hockey, lacrosse, and basketball games!
